Description

This track represents the experimentally validated promoters generated by EPD for A. mellifera version 1.

Display Conventions and Configuration

Each element in this track is a representation of the promoter sequence presented in the EPD viewer page (here an example). Following this convention, the narrow part of the elements represents the 49 bp upstream of the annotated transcription start site (TSS) whereas the thick part represents the TSS plus the 10 bp downstream.

Methods

For a description of the methodologies and principles used by EPD to predict TSSs, refer to Dreos et al. (2013) in the References section below. A more detailed description of how this data was generated can be found here.
