CDKN1B — RHOA
Pathways - manually collected, often from reviews:
-
OpenBEL Selventa BEL large corpus:
RHOA
→
CDKN1B
(directlyDecreases, CDKN1B Activity)
Evidence: p27 binds to RhoA and prevents the interaction of RhoA with its activators the guanine-nucleotide exchange factors. Fibroblasts lacking p27 have impaired migration. CIP1 binds to and inhibits Rho kinases (ROCK1 and -2) - downstream effectors of Rho. p57 (KIP2) binds to and targets LIM domain-containing protein kinase (LIMK) to the nucleus, sequestering it in a compartment where it cannot regulate the actin cytoskeleton.

:
After transport in cytoplasm,
p27 Kip1 binds to RhoA thus
prevent activation of
RhoA by GEFs, thus inhibit GDP-GTP exchange mediated by GEFs

:
Inhibition of
RhoA GTPase function
increased the basal expression of p21Cip-1/WAF1 and
p27Kip-1 but not p16INK4a, and enhanced the ability of MAPK signalling to decrease DNA synthesis
