FGF2 — ITGAV
Pathways - manually collected, often from reviews:
-
OpenBEL Selventa BEL large corpus:
Complex of ITGAV-ITGB3
→
FGF2
(increases, FGF2 Activity)
Evidence: VEGF165 also influenced the interaction of HUVECs with the prototypic ligand for aVb3, vitronectin bFGF did augment cell migration onto vitronectin, almost as effectively as VEGF165. The bFGF-stimulated migration also was inhib- ited by c7E3 (data not shown). Thus, both major angio- genic growth factors enhanced HUVEC migration in an aVb3- dependent fashion.

→
FGF2
(increases)
Evidence: alpha2beta1 is upregulated by VEGF, alphaVbeta3 and alpha5beta1 are not, but instead are induced by bFGF, TNF and other angiogenic cytokines

OpenBEL Selventa BEL large corpus:
Complex of ITGAV-ITGB3
→
FGF2
(increases, FGF2 Activity)
Evidence: Similar to classical adhesive proteins, FGF2 binds avb3 [136]. Consequently, immobilized FGF2 promotes endothelial cell adhesion and spreading, leading to uPA upregulation, cell migration, proliferation, and morphogenesis [137].
