FUNCTION: Probable E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase which accepts ubiquitin from an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme in the form of a thioester and then directly transfers the ubiquitin to targeted substrates. May be required for development of the head mesenchyme and neural tube closure (By similarity).
PATHWAY: Protein modification; protein ubiquitination.
SUBUNIT: Interacts with IGSF1.
SIMILARITY: Belongs to the UPL family. K-HECT subfamily.
SIMILARITY: Contains 4 ANK repeats.
SIMILARITY: Contains 1 HECT (E6AP-type E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase) domain.
