Human Gene MGC72080 (uc003upb.1) Description and Page Index
Description: Homo sapiens MGC72080 pseudogene (MGC72080), non-coding RNA.
RefSeq Summary (NR_002822): This locus represents naturally-occurring readthrough transcription between two unprocessed unitary pseudogenes, CCZ1P (CCZ1 homolog, vacuolar protein trafficking and biogenesis associated pseudogene) and OR7E38P (olfactory receptor family 7 subfamily E member 38 pseudogene). The individual pseudogene loci are not curated as transcribed regions. Readthrough transcripts contains disrupted open reading frames, relative to functional homologs, and likely do not encode functional proteins. -  Orthologous Genes in Other Species
Orthologies between human, mouse, and rat are computed by taking the best BLASTP hit, and filtering out non-syntenic hits. For more distant species reciprocal-best BLASTP hits are used. Note that the absence of an ortholog in the table below may reflect incomplete annotations in the other species rather than a true absence of the orthologous gene.
